Mayorga wants to crash the welterweight revival. A very hungry fighter and a very dangerous fighter. Another right by Mayorga midway into the second round buckled Vargas knees and yet another right Mia hamm Vargas again late in the round. Vargas should be grateful he got through this one as a decent. But he managed to win some of the middle rounds. Cintron said he broke his hand on the first punch he landed at the start of the fight but did not show any signs of pain until moments after a flurry that prompted referee Jon Schorle to halt the fight.
